Dukan Diet Menu Review

Have you ever wondered why French women always look slim and terrific? The answer to this lies in a diet which they have kept as a secret for over a decade.

When Dr Pierre Dukan released his book it had rave reviews in France and because of this I want to embark on a review to see if this would suit you as a regime.

In this Dukan Diet Menu review I want to point out the various possibilities you have available to you while undertaking this weight loss regime.

There are 4 phases to the Dukan Diet, with every phase being a separate diet in itself. Its emphasis is to have you lose weight fast initially then to proceed to undertake a stabilising diet that will replenish the body of its much needed nutrients and vitamins, whilst conditioning your body to be eating healthy foods. There for the foods allowed are different for all of these phases.

The 4 Phases of the Dukan Diet Menu

1) This is labelled the Attack Phase. It is designed to achieve maximum results quickly. According to the plan you will have a self examination to find out whether or not you will undertake this for 3 days minimum or the a 10 day maximum term for this protein based diet. If you need to lose a lot of weight you will need to be on the maximum term of 10 days in order to achieve favourable results. This initial phase can be likened to the Dr Atkins diet in that it is purely based on the consumption of meats with the only difference being eliminating the high fats of butter and oils.

2) Is labelled as the Cruise Phase. The choices here begin to include certain vegetables and is an integral part in replenishing your body according to the Dukans diet. The vegetables that does not include vegetables with starch, can only be taken every second day at this phase as still protein dominates the Dukan Diet menu.

3) The third phase is the consolidation phase according to the Dukan Diet regime. This phase begins to introduce carbohydrates to the plan, with foods such as rice, bread and pasta steadily coming into the diet. While protein still dominates the diet plan you are gifted 2 meals of your choice a week, to indulge in anything you like.

4) The final phase concentrates primarily on maintaining the weight. By this stage you have disciplined yourself, you have done the hard work and now it is time to reward yourself and see the results. The Dukan Diet Menu at this stage allows you the freedom to eat foods of your choice, with one caveat; You must devote one day to just eating protein a week. Dr Dukan recommends Thursdays.

Its as simple as that.
