In mushroom sauce pork chops

If you are having a day PP or cruise only serve the chops with sauce and discard mushrooms.  Or give to another Member of the family!  In any event, the sauce is delicious!

IN MUSHROOM SAUCE PORK CHOPS

1 clove garlic, minced
4 pork chops cut Centre
4 oz of fresh, sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup of white wine or Sherry
1/2 cup low sodium beef broth
1/4 t thyme, fresh, chopped
Cornstarch T 2 mixed with 2 T water

In a pan add the garlic and return in a little spray of cooking for 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper pork chops, then FRY in a skillet just until browned on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.  Remove meat to pork and set aside.  Add the mushrooms to the Pan and stir in sherry and beef broth and bring to a boil.  Add as pork chops to the Pan and cook for 10 minutes. Remove the chops from the Pan, add the mixture of thyme and the starch corn and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.  Serve the sauce over pork.

Yet another way to get your vitamins AND your oat bran!  I really liked these.  They were very moist.  And maybe if you have kids that don’t eat their veggies…

CHOCOLATE CARROT MUFFINS

9 T oat bran
1 T sugar free chocolate pudding mix
1 T unsweetened cocoa powder
1 t baking powder
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
4 T pumpkin puree
2 T brown sugar, Brown Sugar Blend Splenda, or 2 t Splenda
1/4 cup carrot, finely shredded and squeezed dry

Mix all wet ingredients together in one bowl and all the dry in another.  Then fold wet into dry.  Makes about 16 mini muffins.  Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.

I always love Chinese food.  And this dish didn’t disappoint.  Even with the Shirataki noodles, it still was very satisfying and replaced all the cravings I was having for noodles.  Happy Friday everyone!

CANTON CHICKEN TENDER CHOW MEIN

3/4 lb chicken tenders or thighs
1 small red bell pepper, thinly sliced
5 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 clove garlic, minced
1 t fresh ginger, minced
1 package Tofu Shirataki spaghetti noodles
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
3 T sherry
1 t cider vinegar
1 t Splenda or 2 T honey (Consolidation and Stabilization)
1 t chili paste
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
1 cup snow peas
1 green onion, chopped

Spray skillet with a bit of cooking spray.  Add chicken, bell pepper, green onions, garlic, ginger and noodles and stir-fry until chicken is nicely browned, about 4 minutes.  Combine remaining ingredients down to the peas in a small bowl and stir into chicken with the snow peas, and cook 3-4 minutes.  Stir in cilantro.  Garnish with green onions.

Osso Buco-Style Chicken Thighs

I love Osso Buco and thought, if I can’t have veal, I’ll try it with chicken!  And braising these thighs for an hour made them so tasty and tender.  You can either eat it with the veggies for a PV day, or save them for tomorrow and have a PP.  Either way, if you have an hour and a half, I think you will really enjoy this dish!

OSSO BUCO-STYLE CHICKEN THIGHS

8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 onion, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 bay leaves
1/4 cup Italian parsley, chopped
1/4 cup white wine
2 cups chicken broth
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
1/4 cup parsley, chopped

Brown chicken pieces in a large Dutch oven for 5 minutes on each side.  Remove from pot.  Saute onion, celery, carrots and garlic for 8 minutes.  Add bay leaves, parsley and wine and cook for 3 minutes.  Add broth, tomatoes and chicken back to the pot.  Braise chicken for 50 minutes covered, at 375, remove the lid and cook for another 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.  Garnish with parsley.  I served mine with some roasted carrots and beets.  Can be either a Pure Protein day dish or a Protein Vegetable.

Spicy chicken, mushrooms and snow peas

Another dish very simple, but delicious. Very few ingredients and only 20 or so minutes and you have an Asian dish on the table. Today is my mom's 80th birthday so happy birthday MOM!

SPICY CHICKEN, MUSHROOMS AND SNOW PEAS

4 chicken thighs or chicken, cubed 3 breasts
1 cup mushrooms, decided
2 T white vinegar
1 cup low sodium chicken broth
Sake of T 2
1 t Splenda or 1 T brown sugar Splenda
Pulp Chile garlic 1 T
1/2 t red pepper flakes
T low sodium soy sauce 2
Cornstarch T 1 mixed with 1 t water
2 cups peas, trimmed of snap
2 green onions, chopped

Add chicken and mushrooms and the return in a hot pan a little cooking spray, about 5 minutes or until nice and brown.  Mix next 7 ingredients in a small bowl and add to the pan.  Simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.  Add pea mixture and the snap of cornstarch and cook for about 3-5 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.  Garnish with green onions.

Chicken in garlic-vinegar sauce: recipe and video

OK, you see that I have still many chicken legs left this week of my value pack.  This is another recipe that you can swap offers chicken or chicken breasts, just adjust the cooking time.  Tenders will take slightly less time than boneless thighs, breasts will have the same time unless you book to do even more.

CHICKEN IN GARLIC-VINEGAR SAUCE

8 chicken thighs, tenders or chicken breasts
1 large shallot, minced
12 cloves large garlic, peeled and minced
1/3 cup of sherry or red wine vinegar
1 cup low sodium chicken broth
dried 1 t or 2 t fresh thyme
1/2 cup of sour cream free fatty
Dijon mustard 1 T
2 t tomato paste
1 t cornstarch
2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped
2T chives or green onions, chopped

Season the chicken with salt and pepper and Brown in a Dutch oven in a little spray of cooking for 5 minutes each side.  Remove and set aside.  Cook shallots and garlic in a little spray of cooking for 2 minutes.  Add vinegar and bring to a simmer. Return the chicken to the pot.  Pour in the broth and add the thyme.  Cover and cook for about 45 minutes. While the chicken is simmering, whip cream sour, mustard, tomato paste and cornstarch in a small bowl. Combine tomatoes and chives in a separate small bowl.  When the chicken is done, remove plaque, incorporate the cream mix sour and to a simmer.  Add the chicken to the Pan and stir in tomatoes.  Warm chicken once more and serve immediately.

They are intended for women of High Protein Diet?


If you have more than a passing interest in the weight loss, you might have the behind-or-protein diet. Although around from the Atkins diet in the 1970s were high Protein diets, they are back in vogue from Kate Middleton (now Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge) was said to lost weight on the Dukan diet. For the fitness-minded among you, you're probably also familiar with the Paleo diet, which tends to go hand in hand with CrossFit training. Finally, Tim Ferris began the new movement with his "Slow-carb diet".

A close cousin of the High Protein Diet is a movement "sugar is evil". Argument is that sugar is the cause of the huge increase in obesity, and diet with low fat content from yesterday's all wrong.

I conclude the protein/sugar discussions here, except to say that you'll lose weight, protein, diet and reducing sugar in your diet is beneficial for everyone. But you can also lose weight diet, which has the iota Terry behind him, and "sugar is bad" message was bombed us, given that we were all kids, so that's hardly an epiphany.

The real problem is that "the proteins and sugar is evil" movement starts with so much on the radio today, and it's hard was it. It's hard not to feel guilty that you have to drop the habit of sugar, or admit, that would really like a sandwich for lunch, rather than more chicken salad.

In fact, the real, the real problem with all these high Protein Diets-Atkins, Dukan, Prehistoric and slow-carb diet-is that all developed men. Before you think I'm sexist I think it matters, here's three reasons why.

1. Men tend to be obese because of the general lack of awareness and information on nutrition and healthy eating, while the emotional eating has a tendency to play a greater role in women's weight problems.

2. Men tend to be better to decide on the food and then only after rules, in particular when they are allowed to "cheat" day (which most of these supplements include). Women, on the other hand, usually more affected by hormonal fluctuations and their emotional ties to food.

3. Men tend to have a diet that allows them to eat large quantities of red meat and lots of eggs is a dream. Women are more likely to feel deprived when everything they want chocolate, but they will have to eat medium rare Sirloin instead. And when the deprivation, it doesn't take long before the food is thrown away completely.

Final straw, of course, is that us girls tend to yourself and believe that we are total failure, if we cannot be on a diet, leading to spiral towards the low self-esteem, to escape the emotional eating, and so continues the cycle.

Admittedly, the diet really takes into account the emotional aspects of the diet, which is extremely ironic, because once you understand its internal BMI (the beliefs of thinking by email) about food and weight, everything will resolve itself. However, the high protein diet is particularly severe for women in comparison with men, and from my own experience I know that men tend to be able to stick to this diet for far longer than women.

That is, if you're thinking about taking on one of the diets I mentioned, please remember that you are human (not just a machine that needs food), your emotions are real (to put down and ignored), lust, are often a sign of deeper and weight control is a lifestyle, not a life sentence.

I tell you that cherry peppers in the dish the greatly changed.  The flavour is therefore different from a pepper or a roasted pepper.  I assume that because they are pickled, they add a new dimension.  And I strongly suggest to serve on noodles.  I boiled the noodles first, then added to the Pan at the last minute that they could really absorb some of the flavor of the sauce.  They have tasted like an Asian noodles for me.  Enjoy!  Happy Thursday!

CHICKEN ITALIAN WITH HOT CHERRY PEPPERS

8 thighs chicken boneless and Skinless, boneless
8 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups low sodium chicken broth
juice of half a lemon
2 T tomato paste
5 large peppers marinated, sliced cherries
7 oz 1 package Angel Hair Shirataki

Season chicken with salt and pepper and sauté in a pan in a little spray of cooking for 5 minutes each side.  Remove and set aside.  Add garlic and onion and sauté an another 5 minutes.  Put the chicken in a pan and add broth, lemon juice, tomatoes and pepper paste.  Simmer for 10 minutes or until sauce has reduced slightly and the chicken is cooked perfectly.  The sauce was so delicious, if I served the hair of Angel Shirataki chicken, so I could eat everything!

Thai Green chicken

Disease of chicken yet?  It is clear that I am not.  I was eating chicken at least 5 nights a week lately and I am in love every night even more.  This dish was sweet and tasty.  I am in love with turmeric now.  And it's great for you.  Can help in the fight against certain cancers and even, they seek to know if it can help with Alzheimer's disease.  In any case, hope you enjoyed the visit of cooking chicken that we have in the world.  The latter was a to make again.  Whenever I have the chance!

THAI CHICKEN GREEN

2 cups coriander, chopped
1 jalapeno, rough cut
chopped 4 cloves garlic, raw
juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup of water
1 onion, chopped
8 chicken thighs boneless and Skinless, boneless, cut into cubes
1 1/2 t turmeric
1/2 t cinnamon
2 T fat free cream cheese
1 T or 1/2 Splenda t honey

Mix the first 5 ingredients and set aside.  In a skillet, sauté the onion in a little cooking spray, about 5 minutes.  Combine the turmeric and cinnamon and mix the chicken in spices.  Add the chicken to the Pan and cook for 5 minutes.  Add the coriander mixture, cheese cream and sweetener.  Simmer about 15 minutes.

Malaysian chicken

The chicken has the most delicious sauce, I think that I have ever had.  I am of course always on my tour around the world of chicken.  I added some paprika to spice up a little.  I was also really something IPO so I served him on some whole wheat couscous I had days of pre-Dukan.  I strongly suggest using this couscous, if you are in Consolidation or stabilization.  It is a company called Hodgson Mill and their products are amazing!  I used couscous of Parmesan cheese with ground flax seed whole wheat.  It is incredible.

MALAYSIAN CHICKEN

2 t ground coriander
1 1/2 t cumin
1 t turmeric
1 nutmeg nuts t
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t cayenne pepper
1/2 t Hot smoked paprika (optional)
1/4 t cloves
6 chicken thighs boneless and Skinless, boneless, cut into cubes
1 cup of water
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 t of Splenda
1 T cornstarch
1/2 t salt
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 onions, sliced
1 pepper red, sliced
1/2 cup coriander, chopped

In a medium bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients and mix the chicken in spices.  In another small bowl, mix together the water, vinegar, Splenda, cornstarch, and salt. Set aside.  In a pan, add the onions, bell pepper and garlic in a bit of cooking spray.  Cook for about 5 minutes, leaving the slightly crisp vegetables.  Remove from pan and set aside.  Add the chicken mixture to the Pan and cook for 5 minutes, scraping the bottom constantly to prevent the Spice paste. Push the chicken on the sides and add sauce.  Cook until the sauce thickens.  Add the vegetables to the Pan and cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and vegetables are reheated.  Use on the (stabilization only) whole wheat couscous and garnish with coriander.

7 ways to stay motivated when losing weight


Anyone can lose weight, and you're no exception. It's not that do not work, diet and weight loss programs are bad. The real problem is that people rarely keep a program or diet that you have selected.

Let me ask a simple question:

Do you think the food is good if you stop, cooking in the middle of a recipe?

Of course, there is no need to answer. That's the real problem with losing weight: people will stop in the middle. And the hardest thing to do is stick to your weight loss program from beginning to end. Here are seven ways to keep your motivation and get to a successful end.

1. Select the program for easy weight loss. There is no reason in choosing a weight loss program that is impossible to follow.
